You don’t have to give up who you are to find your way.
About
I’m Kefei Wang, founder of Teak and Tale, a practice to inspire people to be active creators of their lives. We offer workshop, group coaching and individual coaching experiences.
I help my clients disrupt fixed patterns of thinking that are blocking them. Together, we discover who you were, who you are, and who you want to be. Increase the confidence to claim yourself and your story, instead of letting others dictate your path.
My mission is to create a world that celebrates authenticity.

Founder Bio
As a former international student and a current Global Partner Strategy Manager, I’ve successfully managed and thrived numerous transitions in the cross-cultural context. I’m also married to someone who has a totally different cultural background.
I have been put in many situations where I felt life is asking to make trade–offs, to pick a side, to leave myself behind in order to grow.
I want you to know that you don’t need to give up who you are, to find your way. You CAN also successfully manage the transitions you’re going through now and be a rockstar. I give you permission to BE YOU first.
In the past 14 years, I’ve traveled to 15 countries and lived in Denmark and the US. Originally from China, my journey of cross-cultural adaptation begins in Copenhagen, Denmark. In Denmark, I learned how different we are expected to behave as a student between the East and the West. Then I came to the US to pursue my master degree at Thunderbird school of Global Management. My experience of working with people from different countries in Thunderbird reaffirmed my passion in developing culture awareness and sensitivity.
After I graduated, I started my professional life with TTI Success Insights, a top assessment company in the industry here in the US. In the past 11 years, I’ve navigated through the corporate culture successfully as a fresh international student, adapted my behaviors effectively in the assertive and direct US culture as an introverted leader, and managed my career transitions multiple times to lead personal fulfillment. I believe everyone is unique and has talent and skills regardless if they fit in the current cultural norm or not. However, navigating cultural divides and adapting behaviors that seem out of norm in one’s home culture can be challenging.

My background in global business expansion and training as a co-active coach help me connect with my clients and provide nurturing yet empowering experience to help them be successful in the new cultural norm with following credentials:
- Holds relevant bachelors and masters degree
- Trained with Co-active® coaching method
- Certified Global Dexterity Method® trainer
- Certified TTI SI Behavioral Analyst, Motivator Analyst
- 10+ years of assessment application and 5+ years training experience
- 5 years of coaching experience accumulated more than 100 hours of coaching experience
- Navigating cultural divides everyday
On a personal note, I find joy in small things, such as dancing with my sons, the smell of people doing BBQ or laundry when I run in the neighborhood, and having a good bowl of hot ramen noodles. I now live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with my family.
